Tore Nay Doe
I don’t like posting photos of myself with my eyes closed, but when you’re taking pictures in a tornado, you have to lower your expectations.

Jacket, Allen B. Dress, Delia*s (swap). Shoes, Nine West. Bag, Vieta. Earrings, gift. Watch, Vivani (gift).
An hour after taking these shots at the airport viewing area, we were evacuated from Terminal B to the tunnel below the tarmac due to a tornado warning.

The evacuation was a mess…it seems that everyone ahead of me had ridden the escalator down, taken 10 steps, and set up camp. As the last of the evacuees exited the escalator, there was no place for them to go without a lot of shoving. If a tornado had actually hit the terminal, there would have been panic and trampling.
Thankfully, the weather allowed us to return to the terminal after only 20 minutes underground and most of the flights left with only a small delay. I’ve safely escaped the land of tornadoes for the land of volcanoes.
