Minimalist

This look is pretty minimal for me. Minimal colors (three). Minimal layers (blazer + dress). Minimal fuss on a day that consisted of 8 hours at the office, teaching boot camp class, dinner out, and the VitaminWater uncapped fashion show. My schedule is certainly not minimal.

Tell Me On a Friday

I sometimes feel like I’m the only one working on Friday afternoon. My office is deserted and email slows to a trickle. This week, perhaps it was for the best that I saw almost no one at work on Friday. I’m not sure that what I was wearing was entirely appropriate.

Harvest Time

The tall, golden grass in the Africa section of Friendship Park is another reminder that fall is imminent.

Turkish Peasant

I’ve been searching for a blouse like this in the thrift stores, but have come up empty handed. I’ve borrowed this version from my friend, Colette. I believe it’s a souvenir from somewhere in Eastern Europe. I’m wearing it for all of my 2,550 friends in Turkey, who inexplicably visited my blog on August 3rd.

Business Creative

The dress code at my workplace is “business casual,” but I’d describe my own office wear as “business creative.” I try to keep things work appropriate, but I’ve got to add my flair!



Today, I’m wearing a blazer, dress, and heels. But the blazer is made of lace, the dress has a busy print, and the heels are peep-toe booties.

Glam Gram

I used to fantasize about the crazy outfits I’d wear when I became an eccentric old lady. Somewhere along the way, I decided I was old enough and released my inner grandma.

This hat, a gift from my sister, is the ultimate in granny chic. I love the way it resembles a knit turban. "All right, Mr. De Mille. I'm ready for my close-up."
